TOP 10: Season 3 League of Legends Champions
Unlike many other games that periodically release a new iteration or what have you; League of Legends updates and nerfs Champions, while empowering others. With that said, Season 3 of League of Legends is in full swing; and while it’s arguable that in League of Legends a great champion is only as good as his or hers build — there are a certain roster of characters that are fiercely fought for. So without further ado, I present the Top 10 Champions for Season 3. I ranked these characters based on my percentage of wins, which you’ll see with each champion.
Keep in mind that League of Legends changes constantly and that you should be weary of changes made to your favourite champions; and any outdated information that this Top 10 might carry down the line.
Ezreal is considerably a great Attach Damage (AD) carry; he’s a high damage champion in the early and late game. He’s mobile, and great for picking off enemy champions with his skillshots. That said, he’s difficult to master, and you’ll find that since almost all of his skills require precise aiming and timing that you may lose a few matches as I did with him. That said, after a few games with him and a lot of practice you can start to do some great damage with him

While League of Legends is fairly straight forward with its three lanes, some prefer the jungle. Cue please…
Jungling is simply a different beast then the typical lane, defeating monsters and preparing for ganks is a part of the game, and one of (not the) best junglers is Olaf. While he’s a great asset in many other roles with the right build, his high damage gives him relative ease when dealing with the beasts awaiting you in the jungle. He’s also one of the fastest junglers around. That said, he’s not the best simply because many of his skills, like Ezreal, has you be mindful of surroundings and while arguably Olaf is easier to master then Ezreal it still makes him a more difficult champion to use. In the right hands though, he’s a great fast jungler.
Also, anyone else think he looks like the dwarf from Golden Axe?

8. Xin Zhao
Xin’Zhao is one of those odd champions where his ability to win is very dependent on team composition. He’s a great distance closer, and can easily do well with an established stunner. However, with his range he often times loses to ranged champions and needs a very finely crafted build to be successful. That said, in the right hands he’s pretty deadly.
Percentage of Wins: 62%
Simply put, Ashe is one of the original champions for the game; and is still one of the best ranged champions in the game. She’s great as an AD carry; and slightly better then Ezreal in my opinion. That said, while Ashe is great; she’s dependent on team composition. Meaning that if you’re not paired right, even the best Ashe players could potentially fail which is not fun for anyone.
Percentage of Wins: 64%
Wukong is a fast and powerful ape. He’s powerful with almost any player, and can be a real joy to play as. Sadly, he’s often times focused on by enemy players, and can feed the enemy with his ultimate once it dies down. Still, talented players can easily beat opponents with him even solo with no teammates.
Percentage of Wins: 68%
Kha’Zix reminds me of the xenomorphs from Aliens and like the titualar characters and the wild nerds who love playing Kha’Zix it’s true that…
All kidding aside, Kha’Zix is a great champion that excels in burst damage and adapting itself through it’s ultimate’s passive. Between these two, and low cooldown rates on all of his abilities means that you’ll be able to handle so many different foes as the bug.
Percentage of Wins: 72%
Shen doesn’t win because of being deadly ninja; Shen wins because of all the champions he’s one of the best damage sponges. He’s meant to help absorb damage while some more powerful attacks. If you’re fine with that though, then you could win a lot of games as Shen.
Percentage of Wins: 74%
Another original Champion, but unlike Ashe I prefer Teemo for a few reasons. The first is his Stealth passive, which can cause you to set up some great kills in the game. Secondly is his poison darts which slowly eat away at the enemy until they’re no more. Then, all you have to do is boost Teemo’s Ability Power (AP) to a high level and you’ll be destroying the team in no time.
Percentage of Wins: 80%
Caitlyn is about two things: dealing massive amounts of damage and destroying enemies from a distance. Her ultimate has a great way of chasing down low health foes and finishing them off for good.
Percentage of Wins: 84%
Diana is built to be an assassin. With a high damage output and a healthy amount of mobility with her it goes without saying that she’s considerably deadly in the right hands. She’s often banned in ranked games, and once you start playing as her you’ll see why as the enemy team knows to focus on an all-powerful Diana on the battlefield.
